This low carb and low sugar Keto green smoothie recipe with avocado, spinach, kale, almond milk and almond butter is so delicious that you’ll want to have it every day!
I constantly try to create new low-carb smoothie recipes that are healthy and delicious, that all my family will enjoy as a means of a daily vitamin intake.
How to make Keto Green Smoothie:
Spinach and kale are the one of my favorite greens in the whole wide world! I prefer to use them chopped and frozen. Spinach is known for its nutritional benefits that include calcium, potassium, Vitamin A, magnesium, iron, and folate that are so beneficial for our skin, hair, and bone health. Kale is a super antioxidant. Full of Vitamin C, K, A and important minerals like copper, manganese and potassium, Kale is perfect for our digestive support.
Avocado and almond butter offer healthy fats in the low-carb smoothie that will help you stay fuller for longer. Avocado offers high quantity of antioxidants, nutrients, and healthy fats, which makes it a perfect low-carb friendly food. I also love to add almond butter for my fats, I like to use THIS ALMOND BUTTER, because of its awesome taste and the only ingredient being almonds! As a nutritional benefits, almond butter offers calcium, iron and potassium, in addition to its healthy fats. Adding these fats to your smoothie will make it taste so much creamier and keep you full longer.
Water and almond milk are the best liquids you can add to your smoothie. I typically avoid using crushed ice because I use frozen greens that help keep my smoothie cool. However, if you use fresh kale and spinach, you may want to opt in for a 1/2 cup of crushed ice to cool down your drink, if that’s your style.
I can’t rave enough about Swerve brand sweetener. After discovering it, that’s all I use to keep my food sweetened when I absolutely need it. And you know what? It doesn’t increase your blood sugar and insulin levels, making it a superfood for those who love sweets but still want to lose weight. I do recommend using Confectioners Swerve Sweetener, just because it tastes better than the granular version.
