Her Royal Highness supposedly prefers a glass of blended green juice over a late-afternoon cup of coffee for its energizing, yet caffeine-free benefits.
Speaking of caffeine, Meghan Markle allegedly tries to avoid it — especially in coffee form — as much as she can. In a video interview with Shape, she noted how she often reaches for kombucha or green juice instead. “I think trying to go for coffee or things like that only end up hurting you in the end,” she told the publication. “[Green juice] is a really good natural source of energy … that gets right into your system as a nice pick-me-up,” she added.

Ingredients and tools:
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 cups kale
- 2 green apples, cored
- 1/2 cup parsley leaves
- 1 medium cucumber, quartered
- 2 celery stalks, roughly chopped
- 1 (1-inch) piece of ginger, peeled
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
- Fine mesh sieve
- Add ingredients to the blender (in the order in which they are listed).
- Blend ingredients on the highest setting until the ingredients are smooth.
- Pour the juice into a glass, using the mesh sieve to sift out any unwanted pulp. Pro tip: Use a spatula to squeeze out extra juice from the pulp.
